Taking a Moment this Memorial Day
It has been far too long since we have had to remind people to pack their patience as they drive to the beach, the Bay or wherever a long weekend may be taking them, but we are pleased to be able to do so again this Memorial Day Weekend. It gives us tremendous happiness to see things getting back to normal in Cecil County and beyond. It’s nice to see faces again. That is for sure.
Things have gotten a little heavy since the start of the pandemic. We hope that everyone is taking some time to breath and even let loose a little now that we are more able to do so. We all deserve some time to unwind and do so with friends and family. We urge you to take time to recognize what is most important as things begin to transition back to normal.
Speaking of taking a moment – we remind everyone to find time in your thoughts this weekend to remember and recognize those servicemen and women in our nation’s history who made the ultimate sacrifice. We are now at a point in our time as a country where the burden of military service is only known by 1% of families. Gone are the days when every family had a brother, sister or uncle in the armed forces–let alone one who give his or her life. But, it still does happen and the risk is still real. We remember all of those brave souls on this Memorial Day Weekend.
