Maryland State Police to Participate in National Night Out in Elkton and Rising Sun
Maryland State Troopers will join communities and other law enforcement agencies across the state on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in support of National Night Out. Every year since 1984 National Night Out is observed on the first Tuesday in August in local communities to promote positive police-community partnerships and neighborhood comradery to make all neighborhoods safer places to live.
In our area, MSP will participate in events held on Main Street in Rising Sun as well as Meadow Park in Elkton. We are strong supporters of our state and local law enforcement. We routinely interface with Maryland State Police as well as Cecil County Sherriff’s Office and Elkton Police Department. We witness their dedication and hard work in keeping our communities safe each and every day. Events like National Night Out are examples real efforts (among countless others) of departments engaging in meaningful community outreach. Events like this make a real difference in strengthening the bond between police and the communities they serve. We hope that citizens of Elkton, Rising Sun and surrounding areas show up and support officers at this and similar events.
These are the men and women who have dedicated their careers to keeping us all safe. Let’s show them our appreciation on August 3rd.
