A Reminder About Safe Driving Around Buses
As we finally see more of a steady transition back to in-person learning, it’s reasonable to agree that the sight of so many more buses on the roadways almost seems out of place. It is such a welcome sight in our opinion, and we would like to remind folks that, if your commute has become a breeze during the pandemic, well, the winds are changing. It is important to adhere to all stop signs, emergency lights, crosswalk signage and the directives of crossing guards while in or around school zones and buses.
When it comes to school bus safety, the safety of Cecil County’s kids is a shared responsibility of the entire community. Please note that area police departments are not shy about citing drivers for failing to follow safe driving practices around buses and school zones. As with many things, it costs a lot less to remain patient and follow the rules.
We are thrilled that Spring is here and just as pleased to see the kids back on the bus. Now that they are there, let’s work together to keep them safe.
